Description

INTRODUCTION:

"Air Drops: Harvesting Water from Air" is an innovative project dedicated to extracting potable water from the atmosphere using condensation technology.

Building a water harvesting device like "Air Drops" using the listed components (Peltier module, motor pump, heat sink, exhaust fan, coiled copper tube, plastic box, and battery) involves creating a system that utilizes condensation to extract water from the air.

                                            .

Step-by-Step Guide to Building "Air Drops":

Step 1: Gather Components

Ensure you have all the necessary components ready:

  • Peltier module
  • Water cooling block
  • Motor pump
  • Heat sink
  • Coiled copper tube
  • Plastic box
  • Battery
  • Wires, connectors, and necessary tools

Step 2: Prepare the Peltier Module and Heat Sink

  1. Attach the Peltier Module and Water Cooling Block:
    • Apply thermal paste to the flat surface of the Peltier module.
    • Place the water cooling block on top of the Peltier module, ensuring good thermal contact.
    • Securely mount the assembly onto the heat sink using screws or glue.

Step 3: Coil the Copper Tube

  1. Form the Copper Tube into a Coil:
    • Wind the copper tube into a tight coil shape, ensuring it fits inside the plastic container to collect the water.

Step 4: Assemble the Water Condensation System

  • connect plastic pipe to one of the outlet of Colling block and put the another  of in plastic box.
  • put the motor pump inside plastic box.
  • Connect the plastic pipe to the outlet of the motor pump and route it towards the coiled copper tube.
  • plastic pipe from another end of the copper tube connected  to the another outlet of cooling block.

Step 5: Connect Components and Wiring

  1. Wire the Components:
    • Connect the Peltier module, exhaust fan, motor pump, and battery according to the circuit diagram.
    • Use appropriate wires and connectors to ensure secure connections and proper insulation.

Step 6: Testing and Calibration

Power On and Test:

  • Power on the system using the battery.
  • Monitor the operation of the Peltier module and water cooling block to ensure effective cooling and condensation on the copper tube.
